BRIMLEY — Your Built-In Best Friend (with just the right amount of independence) The Backstory Brimley came to us from Los Angeles Animal Services after being found as a stray—no one came looking for him, so we did what we do best… we scooped him up on our way out. And honestly? Their loss. This boy’s eyes tell the whole story—soft, soulful, and full of life. He’s a happy dude just waiting for a forever home to match his energy. Personality: Play Hard, Nap Harder Brimley is the perfect mix of playful chaos and chill companion. His energy is electric when it’s go-time—he’s the instigator, the entertainer, the one convincing everyone else to join the party. He’s constantly checking in on what the other dogs are doing, inviting them to play, and yes… he’s a certified ladies’ man. He’s taken a special liking to Sprite, and the two of them are frequent partners in crime. And when he’s done? He’s DONE. This boy will crash hard and sleep like it’s his full-time job. If you work from home, he’ll be right at your feet—quiet, content, and completely unbothered. Dog Social Life Brimley thrives with other dogs—he needs a playful companion his size or slightly bigger. His go-to move? Flopping right onto his back the second he meets another dog, inviting them into his world of fun. Or he crouches down front legs to the ground butt in the air wiggling yapping asking another dog to play with him! He’s social, curious, and always looking to engage. He did have one minor scuffle in an overstimulating situation, but csociable matters—and with proper structure and guidance, he continues to show he’s a well-intentioned, social guy who just needs balanced play environments. Training & Manners He’s got a solid foundation going. Brimley knows basic commands like sit, takes treats incredibly gently, and will go into his crate (he might protest a little at first, but once he’s in, he settles quietly). He’s not a big barker, not overly demanding, and overall, very easy to please. Leash walking is coming along—he’s a little all over the place right now, but with consistency, he’s going to be an absolute pro on those evening walks. Independent… in a Good Way Not your typical velcro Frenchie—and that’s what makes him special. Brimley loves his people, but he’s not glued to you 24/7. He has a level of independence that makes him easy to live with—he can entertain himself, hang with his dog friends, and still show up for the cuddles when it counts. Medical & Health Brimley is medically sound. He came in with some skin issues that are already clearing up beautifully. His digestion is improving (almost back to normal), and his kennel cough is resolving. His wrinkles are deep and defined, his coat is coming back to life, and his eyes? Brighter every single day. Ideal Home Brimley’s perfect home includes: A playful dog his size (non-negotiable—he needs a buddy) Structure, guidance, and continued socialization A family that appreciates both his playful energy and his laid-back independence Someone who understands that a little chaos now = an incredible dog for years to come The Bottom Line Brimley is fun, loving, a little nosy, a little goofy, and a whole lot of good energy wrapped into one solid Frenchie. He’s the kind of dog that makes your house feel alive—but also knows when it’s time to just be still with you. He’s ready. Now he just needs his people and another fur friend. Brimley is vaccinated, spay and microchipped and her adoption donation fee is $1150.00. He is being fostered in Tempe, AZ and you can apply for her on our website at freedomfrenchierescue.org
