After her rescue, she moved to our partner boarding home where she now lives with other dogs. For the first time in her life, Choochoo is living in a safe place where she is cared for and surrounded by kindness.Personality and SocializationChoochoo is a sweet and loving girl with a medium energy level. She has the gentle and affectionate nature typical of a Shih Tzu. She is smart, affectionate, and friendly, and she truly enjoys being close to people. Choochoo is comfortable meeting new people and happily greets both men and women. She loves attention and enjoys every moment of being loved.With other dogs, Choochoo is very sweet and friendly. She feels most comfortable around small dogs and enjoys their company. Bigger dogs can make her a little nervous at first, but she keeps her gentle and easygoing nature. She truly likes other dogs and has a soft, kind personality. Choochoo has not yet been tested with cats or young children.BehaviourChoochoo rides very well in the car and usually rests quietly during the trip. She is calm and cooperative at the vet and handles baths and grooming without any trouble. She walks nicely on the leash and enjoys going out for walks. Choochoo does not show destructive behaviour and does not have separation anxiety. She is comfortable using pee pads indoors and also goes potty outside. She is a patient and gentle girl who continues to learn about the world around her.Health and DietChoochoo is healthy and has received full veterinary care. She is vaccinated, microchipped, spayed, and receives regular parasite prevention. She currently eats dry kibble twice a day and shows no signs of allergies.Ideal HomeChoochoo would do best in a calm and loving home where someone is around most of the time. Someone who works from home or a retired person would be a wonderful match for her. With patience and love, Choochoo will continue to gain confidence and enjoy life more each day.
