My story

🐾 Sofía’s Story Sofía is not just a dog… she is family. She is 17 years old, gentle, loving, and calm. Her eyes may be cloudy now, but her heart is full of love. She only needs a quiet home, patience, and someone who will care for her in this final stage of life. Years ago, she survived a pitbull attack and made a full recovery — she is strong, but now vulnerable around other animals, so she needs to be the only pet. I am facing the hardest decision of my life. Due to a rabies restriction in the Dominican Republic (March 1, 2026), I cannot travel with her. I’ve tried everything, but costs are too high. I have only two weeks to find her a home. I cannot take her to a shelter… she deserves better. I am looking for someone with a big heart who can give her love, safety, and dignity.
