QUICK FACTS Name: Mandu Age: About 5 Years Old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Jindo Mix Color: White Weight: 16kg / 35lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from the crowded city shelter, just before I was scheduled for euthanasia. Someone stepped in at the very last moment and gave me a second chance. Now I’m here, ready to leave my past behind and find a home where I’m truly loved.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Neutered & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I’m Mandu and yes, my little dumpling ears are real! I’m a gentle and sweet boy with people. I truly enjoy being close to humans, and that’s where I feel most relaxed and happy. I’d choose your company over a crowd of dogs any day. I do have a bit of a jealous streak and a strong personality, but I’m also very smart and already know commands like “sit” and “wait.” I may not be perfect, but I’m honest about who I am. With clear guidance, patience, and someone who understands me, I’ll be a deeply loyal and loving companion. If you’re looking for a dog who will bond closely with you and stand by your side, I think I could be your perfect match.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be a little shy at first but treats help me warm up quickly. Before long, I’m comfortable being petted and happy to stay close. You can gently pick me up by supporting me under my belly—I’m comfortable being held like that. I haven’t had the chance to meet children under 13 yet, so I may need a gentle introduction if I do. · With Dogs: I’ll politely go up to say hello to other dogs, even if we’ve just met, but I’m not really one to jump into play. If another dog comes on too strong or tries to provoke me, I might react, so I do best with slow and careful introductions. I can also get a bit jealous around other dogs, so I’d likely be happiest as the only dog in the home where I can have all the love to myself. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have moderate energy level – I enjoy spending time outside and getting some fresh air, but I’m not overly energetic. After a nice walk or a bit of outdoor time, I’m happy to settle down and relax quietly. I’ve had lots of experience on walks, so I stay close, don’t pull on the leash, and follow my person really well.   TRAINING & HABITS I’m very gentle with people around food and don’t feel the need to guard it. But when I’m eating, I do like a bit of space from other dogs and might give a small growl if they come too close. If there’s something I want, I’ll let you know with a little bark—and I may also bark when I see someone new. I settle down calmly in my kennel and rest without any trouble. I usually prefer doing my business outside, so I’m most comfortable with outdoor potty routines.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES When it comes to other dogs, I like a proper introduction. I can feel a bit unsure at first and might act a little tough—but it’s just my way of protecting myself when I’m nervous. Once I’ve had time to get to know them, I settle in well and can live peacefully alongside them. That said, if another dog starts something, I’m not the type to back down.
