My story

QUICK FACTS Name: Richard Age: 8 months old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Jindo mix Color: Brown (with some black fur in the mouth area) Weight: 13kg / 28.6lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from a crowded city pound, where I had been placed on the euthanasia list simply due to lack of space. With so many dogs and so little room, my time was running out—but thankfully, I was rescued just in time. Now, I’ve been given a second chance at life, and I’m ready to leave those difficult days behind and find a loving home where I can feel safe, cherished, and truly belong.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY I’m a super popular boy among the staff and volunteers! I’m incredibly adorable, and I have this cute black fur around my mouth that makes it look like I’ve just had a little snack. It always makes people smile. I get along well with both people and dogs, and I bring lots of fun, playful puppy energy wherever I go. I’m full of life, curiosity, and charm, and I love sharing that with everyone around me.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I love everyone I meet and greet people with a friendly, happy energy. I really enjoy receiving affection and pets and will happily soak up all the attention. I’m also comfortable being picked up, which makes me an easygoing and affectionate companion. · With Dogs: I love greeting new dog friends and playing with them. I tend to get along best with dogs of a similar size or smaller, where I feel the most comfortable and can enjoy balanced, friendly interactions. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, whether it’s going for walks or exploring, and once I’ve had my activity, I’m more than happy to come inside and snuggle up. I have a nice balance of being active and then settling into a calm, cozy companion.   TRAINING & HABITS I can pull on leash at times, especially when I’m excited, but I follow my handler’s lead nicely and continue to improve with guidance. I have good manners around food with people, though I can be a bit sensitive when other dogs are nearby during mealtimes. I may bark when I’m looking for attention, but I settle down quickly and am overall a quiet pup. I already know how to rest calmly in my kennel and relax well when it’s time to wind down. I’m comfortable using both pee pads indoors and going potty outside, and with consistency, I’ll continue to build great habits.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever • A home that understands my love for food and is willing to guide me with training will help me learn to be patient and comfortable, especially when other dogs are nearby. With consistency and positive reinforcement, I’ll continue to improve and build great manners.   SPECIAL NOTES I’m a sweet boy with so much potential. I still have that curious puppy energy and love exploring everything around me. I’m friendly with both people and dog friends and enjoy being part of the action. With the right guidance and consistency, I’ll grow into a well-mannered and confident companion. I’ve already been going on lots of walks with volunteers and staff, so my leash skills are off to a great start and continue to improve.   RICHARD'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.co ##2716370##
