Meet Chip! He’s curious, affectionate, and full of personality, but he also has a sensitive side that means he needs a calm and patient home. Chip thrives with people who understand his nervous moments and are willing to help him build confidence at his own pace. He enjoys attention and loves spending time with his humans, but he can get a little anxious in new situations. His ideal family will need to be prepared to take things slowly, helping him navigate any challenges with patience and love. With the right home, Chip will be a sweet and loyal friend, always ready for affection and play time. He’s looking for a family who will celebrate his personality and give him the confidence to shine. Come meet this lovely boy today!IN-SHELTER NOTES & IDEAL HOMESIZE:67 lbs.HOME TYPE:House or Townhouse- No apartments as Chip is shy/nervous. Chip can also be vocal at times, so would not do well with shared walls. CHILDREN:No- Adult only home as Chip is shy and nervous and has soon some signs of general anxietyCATS & SMALL ANIMALS:Yes- cats potentially compatible with slow proper introduction.OTHER DOGS:Yes- Dogs potentially compatible.ACTIVITY/ENERGY LEVEL:High; will need a lot of daily exercise, enrichment and mental stimulation.HUMAN COMPATIBILTY:Chip’s new family will need patience and understanding to help him work through challenges such as nervousness and general anxiety.TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/NEEDS:At least three in-person training sessions to work on socialization, basic training, manners and general anxiety. HUMAN SOCIAL IN SHELTER:Chip is nervous and shy, but does love to interact with people once he is feeling comfortable. FAVOURITE THINGS:He loves a good tennis ball!
