Whether he’s lounging close by or settling in beside you, Mr. Nubbs appreciates soft pets and peaceful moments of connection, taking in all the love at his own easy pace. Mr. Nubbs is FIV+. We believe that cats that are positive for the Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) can make excellent companions and deserve the same opportunities for placement as FIV-negative cats. However, there are some things any prospective adopter should know about FIV. What is FIV? FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) is a virus that affects only cats, it is not contagious to humans or other animals. Many FIV-positive cats live long, happy lives with proper care. It’s not spread through casual contact like cuddling, sharing food bowls, or living together. It is mainly transmitted through deep bite wounds from fighting cats. FIV+ cats do best as indoor companions, where they stay safe, relaxed, and healthy. With love and routine vet care, they can thrive just like any other cat. If you’re looking for a low-key, loving companion who will be your constant little shadow and cuddle buddy, Mr. Nubbs might just be your perfect match. Mr. Nubbs is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. His adoption fee is $75.00.
