QUICK FACTS Name: Totoro Age: 8 months old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Mini Jindo mix Color: Brown Weight: 10kg / 22lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was born into a neglected situation, where life was uncertain from the very beginning. My mama did her best to care for us despite everything, giving us as much love and protection as she could. Thankfully, rescuers found us just in time and stepped in to give us a chance at a better life. Now, I’m safe and ready to find a loving home where I can finally feel secure and cared for.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY I’m super adorable in both looks and personality. At around 8 months old, I’m a curious young boy who is still learning about the world and taking everything in with excitement. I love showing my sweet side, and I’m a smart pup too. I already know how to sit and wait. During my profile photoshoot, I followed the staff and volunteers around because I just wanted to be close to them. When I move, the tips of my ears flop, and it’s something people can’t help but smile at.     MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m very friendly with people and love greeting everyone I meet. I happily welcome pets and affection and enjoy being close to my humans. I’m also comfortable being picked up, which makes me an easygoing and affectionate companion. · With Dogs: I enjoy greeting new dog friends and playing with them, and I tend to get along best with larger dogs. I can get a bit jealous when other dogs are receiving a lot of attention, and I’m still learning to share my toys and food. Because of that, I would do best in a home where I can receive focused, one-on-one attention and continue building my confidence and manners. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, whether it’s going for walks or playing, and I also know when it’s time to settle down and rest. I have a nice balance of being active and then relaxing comfortably.   TRAINING & HABITS I can pull on leash at times, especially when I’m excited, but I generally follow my handler’s lead well and continue to improve with guidance. I have good manners around food with people, though I can be a bit sensitive with my toys and food when other dogs are nearby. I’m learning to be more patient every day and will benefit from continued, consistent training. I may bark when I’m looking for attention, but I settle down quickly and am overall a quiet pup. I know how to rest calmly in my kennel and relax well when it’s time to wind down. I’m comfortable using both pee pads indoors and going potty outside, and with routine, I’ll continue building strong habits.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever • A family that understands my love for food and toys and is willing to guide me with patience and consistency will help me learn to stay calm and patient, especially when other dogs are nearby. With gentle support and clear boundaries, I’ll continue to build confidence and develop great manners.   SPECIAL NOTES I’m a young boy with so much potential and a lot of love to give. I’m still learning about the world and building my confidence, and with the right guidance, I’ll continue to grow into a well-mannered and loyal companion. I’m very people-oriented and form strong bonds with those I trust. I enjoy being close to my humans and thrive in an environment where I feel safe, supported, and included. My curiosity and eagerness to learn make me very responsive to training, especially with positive reinforcement. I do have a strong interest in food and toys, so I’ll benefit from a family that can provide structure and consistency to help me build patience and good habits around other dogs.
