My story

Chase is a fun and loving rescue dog. He is 3 years old and very energetic. He loves to play fetch with balls and sticks, and he loves to play tug of war and chew on bones. He is large (about 75 pounds) and very strong and he pulls on his leash, so we are looking for a strong owner who can handle him. He most likely will need professional behavior training. He obeys commands: Sit, shake, stay (still working on this one), and lay down. I have had him about a year, and I love him, but unfortunately he has been overly protective by charging and barking at my neighbor (who is a relative). Though he has not bitten, he has scared her several times, along with lunging and charging towards a few others, so he seems to be anxious and aggressive towards strangers and takes some time to warm up to them. Chase would love to go to a home with a yard where he can run, but preferably within a fence. He also most likely needs a heavy chain with heavy chain anchor to tie him outside.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Chase, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
