My story

DOB: March 18, 2024 Cashew is a sweet, calm, and easygoing boy who makes the perfect companion for someone looking for a relaxed, low-energy kitty. He enjoys affection but isn’t overly demanding, gently coming up to you when he’s ready for pets. Fluffy, chill, and incredibly lovable, he’s the kind of cat who fits seamlessly into a peaceful home. He loves lounging in funny, cozy positions and making himself as comfortable as possible. When he’s feeling playful, he enjoys laser pointers and a little game of hide-and-seek. Cashew is also a big fan of bathtubs and can often be found hanging out in one—just don’t turn on the water, as he prefers to stay dry! Cashew enjoys keeping his claws busy, so he will do best in a home that provides scratching posts and gentle guidance toward appropriate surfaces. He can find carriers and car rides overwhelming, so he will benefit from a patient, understanding approach when it comes to travel. Cashew is on a strict urinary diet due to a history of urinary blockage. With proper care and management, such as a strict veterinary diet and minimizing environmental stress, it can reduce the risk of recurrence. A quiet, low stress and single pet home is required. Special note from Cashew's foster family: Cashew is a very sweet and gentle cat. He is not high-energy or demanding; he mostly enjoys relaxing, receiving gentle pets, and being near his people. He may need a little help with his furniture scratching and carrier fear, but overall he is a lovely, low-maintenance companion. With a family who understands his urinary diet, Cashew will make a wonderful and affectionate friend.
