My story

Booker is an adorable 3 year old Maltese Shih Tzu boy. He’s 3 years old and very friendly. He lost his home because his owners were unable or unwilling to take care of him due to changing circumstances in their lives. He gets along well with other dogs and even cats. He is a happy boy who is cuddly and eager to please. Booker is 11 lbs and is literally “the perfect dog.” He is potty trained as well. Booker is ready to land in a home where he is not considered disposable. He will repay you with his charm and antics ten fold! Booker is a coated dog (hair grows continuously) and will require professional grooming every 6–8 weeks. Adoption Fee: $400 This fee includes at least one health exam with our veterinarian while in our care, spay/neuter, all vaccinations (including rabies, as age-appropriate), a pre-adoption professional grooming, and a microchip with lifetime registration at no additional cost. Dogs also leave with a new collar and/or harness, leash, and a gift bag that includes, among other things, a starter bag of the quality kibble currently fed at the rescue. Adoption fees also help us rescue the next homeless or unwanted dog in need.
