Jax

My story

This is Jax, our sweet 3-year-old dog we adopted at 8 weeks old. He’s playful, energetic, and loves to run, play, and chew on cardboard. He does great with routines, sleeps on his own bed, and has grown up with another dog, doing well overall and enjoying playtime with other dogs.Since we had our baby, Jax has become overly protective, which has led to tension with our other dog. While he has never hurt him, he can get in his face and growl, especially when feeling jealous. He has also shown some food aggression when food is dropped towards our other dog. Something he has always struggled with is being reactive on the leash, when people walk by our house, and sometimes in the car. He gets anxious by loud noises too like fireworks. We believe Jax would thrive in a home with more time for exercise, attention, and training. This decision is incredibly hard because I really do love him, but we want what’s best for him.
