Everything was unfamiliar, and I quietly waited without knowing what would come next. Then one day, someone saw me and chose to bring me out of there. That moment changed everything. I was no longer just waiting. I was finally safe. Now I’m learning what it means to feel calm, to trust, and to be cared for. I may still be discovering the world, but I’m ready to share my days with someone who will walk beside me.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Spayed & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I’m Amber. I may have arrived quietly at first, but there’s a bright, spirited side of me that comes out once I feel safe. I’m naturally curious and a little bold at heart, and among my friends, I tend to be the one who steps forward first with a wag and a gentle hello. I can be a bit shy when meeting someone new, but I warm up quickly—and when I do, I’m full of affection. With people I trust, I turn into a sweet, loving companion who enjoys staying close and sharing soft, happy moments. I have a friendly nature with other dogs too, and I love their company so much that I’ll often curl up beside them, sometimes even using them as my cozy pillow for a nap. If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate dog with a quietly confident heart, I might be the one who brings a warm, steady kind of joy into your life.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be a little shy at first, but I warm up quickly with a gentle approach, especially if there’s a tasty treat involved. Once I feel comfortable, I’m happy to be touched and I settle in with ease. I’m also comfortable being picked up, which makes everyday moments together feel simple and close. I haven’t had the chance to spend time with young children yet, so I may need a bit of patience and guidance as I learn · With Dogs: I’m a naturally friendly soul who loves meeting other dogs. I’ll happily walk up, say hello, and invite them to play. I tend to feel most comfortable with dogs around my own size, and I approach them with an easy, open energy. Even if another dog comes on a bit strong, I’d rather step away than make a fuss. Having a companion nearby gives me a sense of calm, and I really shine when I have a dog friend by my side. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have moderate energy level – I enjoy going outside and exploring, but I also know how to settle down and relax once I’ve had my fun. On walks, I can get a little excited and pull at times, though I naturally stay connected and follow my person. Since I’m still gaining experience, I might pause and lower myself when something feels unfamiliar, but with gentle reassurance, I’m able to move forward and grow more confident step by step.   TRAINING & HABITS I have a calm, easygoing nature and feel comfortable sharing my space, even around food. I’m generally very quiet and rarely bark. I can feel a little unsure in a kennel and may whine at first, but I’m simply letting you know how I feel. I’m also flexible with my routine and do well with both indoor pads and outdoor bathroom breaks.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES I feel most at ease when I have a dog friend by my side. I tend to lean on other dogs for comfort, and their presence helps me relax and feel more secure. With a companion nearby, I settle in more quickly and show my gentle, easygoing side.
