My story

QUICK FACTS Name: Nayo Age: Around 8 years old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Pomeranian Color: White Weight: 3.4kg / 7.5lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from a severely neglected and abusive situation at an illegal puppy mill, where I was treated more like an object than a living being. I didn’t receive the care, attention, or kindness I deserved, and much of my early life was spent without love or comfort. Thankfully, I was rescued in time and given a second chance. Now, I’m safe, learning what it means to be cared for, and ready to begin a new chapter with a loving family who will show me the life I’ve always deserved.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY I’m super small and incredibly adorable. Volunteers and staff often say I look like a little doll, and it’s easy to see why. Despite everything I’ve been through, I’m still very trusting of people and truly enjoy receiving pets and affection from those I meet. It doesn’t take much for me to warm up, and once I do, I love staying close by your side, quietly keeping you company with my gentle and loving presence.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be a little shy at first, but I adapt quickly and soon start seeking out pets and affection. Once I feel comfortable, I’ll happily follow you around and stay close, just wanting to be by your side. I love to show my belly as a sign of trust, and I’m also comfortable being picked up once that bond is there. · With Dogs: I’m more of a people-oriented pup, but I still enjoy spending time with my dog friends. I like to greet new dogs and will happily join in for some play. I tend to get along best with dogs of a similar size, where I feel the most comfortable and can have balanced, easy interactions. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, going for walks and exploring, and once I’ve had my activity, I’m just as happy to relax and enjoy quiet time indoors. I have a nice balance of being active and then settling into a calm, easygoing companion.   TRAINING & HABITS I can pull at times, especially when I’m excited, but I generally walk well and follow my handler’s lead nicely. With new people, I may need a little time to feel comfortable, so I might hesitate at first if a complete stranger tries to walk me. Once I build trust, I do much better. I have good manners around food and don’t guard my meals from people or other dogs. When I’m settled into an environment, I may bark at new people as a way of alerting, but I calm down quickly once I understand everything is okay. I know how to rest calmly in my kennel and settle well when it’s time to relax. I’m comfortable using both pee pads indoors and going potty outside, though I may mark a bit when adjusting to a new environment. With routine and consistency, I’ll continue to build great habits.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES I’m a sweet boy who will win your heart in no time. I truly enjoy human affection and companionship and love staying close to my people, often becoming your little shadow. With those I’m comfortable with, I adore curling up in your lap and soaking in all the love. I’m a great balance of a lap dog who enjoys quiet, cozy moments, but I also like getting out for walks and exploring. I adapt quickly to new environments and settle in well, making me an easy and loving companion to have by your side.   NAYO'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.co ##2725580##
