My story

IDGSR Welcomes ROURKE into the safety of the rescue!! THIS DOG IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE & AVAILABLE FOR TRANSPORT ************** Hiya Friends! My name is Rourke and I'm an adorable 11 week old male Shepherd mix. I am located near Nashville TN and will be available for transport mid May. Quick Facts Age: 11 weeks old Kids: will do great with kids Dogs: will do great with other dogs Cats: will do fine with cats Training: needs full obedience training 1. My siblings, mom, & I were in a pretty bad situation before coming to the best rescue. We weren't being taken care of and basically left for trash. Thankfully we are healthy & thriving now! 2. You can see my beautiful mom in my pictures. She is clearly a German Shepherd but my dad, well, he was the milkbone delivery pup. We have no idea what I'm mixed with, wouldn't it be cool to do a DNA test?! 3. I'm just a little guy and don't know anything yet. I need a patient adopter to teach me house & crate training and eventually obedience when I'm a little older. 4. Being so young I'll get along with anyone and everyone. If you have kids, dogs, cats, turtles, and nosey neighbors, we will all be best friends. 5. I would love to go on walks, have lots and lots of play time, tummy rubs, pup-cups, play in the water in the summer, go on hikes when I'm bigger - all the super cool things the big dogs get to do! 6. If you are ready to commit to a puppy and are looking for a handsome, friendly, funny, playful, and energetic new companion - I'm your guy! **SERIOUS APPLICANTS ONLY! If you are not 100% ready to adopt, please wait** ************** ***IMPORTANT ADOPTION INFORMATION*** -ALL dogs are fostered in TENNESSEE unless otherwise noted -We do transport dogs to the east coast; a transport fee will apply -All dogs are up-to-date on vaccinations, heart-worm testing, monthly preventatives, & are spayed or neutered -Puppies under 6-months of age will require a SPAY/NEUTER CONTRACT, a portion of the adoption fee will be refunded upon documentation of the spay/neuter -An application must be submitted before scheduling an appointment to meet a dog -Dogs are introduced to prospective adopters BY APPOINTMENT ONLY -Due to the high volume of emails we receive, first priority will be given to those with submitted applications -All rescue work is done by dedicated volunteers, please be respectful of their time -Not able to adopt? Consider FOSTERING one of our wonderful dogs! Adoption Application: https://www.idgsr.org/apply-to-adopt NOTE: Please remain on the application page until you receive notice your application has gone through. Thank you for considering adopting this wonderful dog! Donations help us care for all of the dogs in our program. Any donation is greatly appreciated and can be made here: https://www.idgsr.org/support-us

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Rourke (PUPPY), please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
