My story

Meet Gunner ❤️ Gunner is a handsome 7-year-old Belgian Malinois/Husky mix who is sadly searching for a new home due to a change within his family. Having been adopted as a young puppy at just 2 months old, Gunner has spent nearly his entire life with the same family after being rescued alongside his six siblings through BTBPR. This transition will be a major adjustment for him, and we are committed to finding him a loving, stable home where he can feel safe, secure, and cherished once again. Gunner is an incredibly friendly and affectionate dog who loves people of all ages, including babies and children. He has been raised in a home with another dog and a cat and has done well with them throughout his life. He enjoys being close to his people and is happiest when included as part of the family. While Gunner loves to snuggle and relax with his humans, he also has an active side and will need a family that can provide regular exercise and mental stimulation. He enjoys walks, hikes, and outdoor adventures, though he would benefit from additional leash training to help him become more polished on walks. An active household that understands the needs of his breed mix would be ideal for him. As Gunner adjusts to losing the only home and companions he has ever known — including his humans, children, dog, and cat friends — patience and time to decompress will be very important. He deserves a family willing to help him through this transition with understanding, consistency, and love.
