Doobie is a one-year-old, 42-pound American Staffordshire Terrier mix with a soft white-and-tan coat and a gentle personality. This handsome young boy has already overcome so much in his short life. He spent ten long months at the Pinal County shelter, arriving as a frightened puppy who didn’t know how to walk on a leash or trust the unfamiliar world around him. While he was often overlooked by adopters, the shelter staff saw something special in him, especially during dog playgroups, where Doobie absolutely shined. He loves other dogs and lights up when he has canine friends to romp around with. When Home Fur Good’s animal coordinator met him, she was amazed that such a sweet, friendly, good-tempered dog had waited so long for a chance. Beneath his shy beginnings is a loving companion just waiting to blossom. Doobie is still learning about the world, so he’ll thrive with patience, structure, and positive experiences. Training classes will help him build confidence and strengthen the bond with his future family. Doobie has so much potential and deserves a home that will give him the love and encouragement he’s missed out on. His adoption fee of $250 includes neutering, vaccinations, microchipping, and a complimentary wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. Please call 602-971-1334 to schedule an appointment to meet Doobie, or visit Thursday through Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for walk-ins.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Doobie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
