My story

Hi there, I’m Donny!I am a sweet boy who gets excited when seeing new people. I can be a bit nervous if people come on too strong but love when they are calm and gentle! I arrived as a stray found roaming in the country. My past is unknown but my GHS humans wonder if I`ve ever lived in a home before. I love to spend ALL day in the outdoor portion of my kennel and would probably stay there all night too, if they`d let me - they don`t, despite my numerous requests, in case you`re wondering. While I was nervous about walking on leash and going through doorways, in just a few quick weeks, I`m now excelling at both! I`m treat motivated and love to bring my toys with me when I lounge outside. I am looking for a home with patient humans that will continue to help me grow my confidence!MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES…CHILDREN: Teenagers should be okay, but no young children given my sensitive nature.OTHER DOGS: Yes, please! A well-socialized, playful dog would be great!CATS: Potentially, with cat confident & experienced with large dogs.FIRST-TIME DOG OWNERS: No, I’m sensitive and would do best with someone who has dog experience.FENCED-IN YARD: Yes, so I have a safe place to lounge outside, which is one of my favorite things to do!
