Cuchos life began in the most heartbreaking way. At just one month old, he was abandonedleft inside a plastic bag among the garbage in Mexico. Covered in fleas, weak, and barely holding on, his chances were slim. But fate had other plans for this little fighter. Rescued just in time, Cucho began his journey toward healing. The first months were not easy. He was frightened of people and unfamiliar environments, unsure if the world was a safe place. But with patience, care, and kindness, something incredible happenedCucho began to trust. Day by day, his fear turned into confidence. That tiny, fragile puppy grew into a strong, beautiful, and resilient dog. Today, Cucho is a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix with a striking black-and-white coat and an even more beautiful spirit. Cucho is a loyal and loving companion who feels especially comfortable around women but is also friendly with men and older children. He enjoys the company of other dogs his size, where he can play freely and burn off his medium energythough his playful nature means hes best suited to homes without small or senior dogs. He is house trained, walks well on a leash (especially with a harness), and enjoys car rides. While his crate training is still a work in progress, hes a quick learner who thrives with consistency. Hes not much of a barkeronly letting his voice be heard when excitement gets the best of him. Cucho would do best in a home with a yard where he can stretch his legs and explore. Apartment living isnt ideal for him, as he enjoys space and freedom. Like many rescue dogs, Cucho will need time to decompress in a new environment. With patience and understanding, he will reveal his true selfa devoted, joyful, and deeply grateful companion. Cuchos story is one of resilience, transformation, and hope. From being discarded like trash to becoming a loving and confident dog, he is proof that even the hardest beginnings can lead to beautiful endings. Now, all Cucho needs is a forever home where he can continue his journeythis time, surrounded by love, safety, and belonging.
