My story

Sweet Lylas story is one of resilience, love, and patiently waiting for the forever family she truly deserves. In the past year, Sweet Lyla has been adopted twice and, through absolutely no fault of her own, found herself back with her foster both times due to major life changes in her adopters circumstances. Even through those heartbreaking goodbyes, one thing has remained true: Sweet Lyla leaves a lasting impression on every single person she meets. She is the definition of a love bug. Sit down on the floor and shell often wander over, gently resting her head on your shoulder for hugs like shes known you forever. She adores people, loves being carried like a baby, and when shes extra happy, she does the cutest little bunny hops that are impossible not to smile at. Sweet Lyla is also a social butterfly with dogs. She absolutely thrives around them and would do amazing in a home with playful pups, a busy dog household, or even doggy daycare. Tug-of-war is one of her favorite games, and shes happy to romp around with dogs of all personalities and energy levels. In fact, she was our go-to dog tester at the kennel facility because shes so bombproof and trustworthy with other dogs, even unsocialized ones. After playtime, though, shes perfectly content curling up into a tiny little ball for a nap or snuggling beside you on the couch during movie time. Sweet Lyla is compact, muscular, and pocket-sized. Shes a short queen built like a little bowling ball of love. Sweet Lyla is also a proud Hamilton Hounds prison program graduate in Florida, where she learned her basic obedience, new tricks, and how to be the very best girl. She already knows commands like sit, stay, place, and more. Shes incredibly smart, eager to please, and enjoys having structure and guidance from her people. All Sweet Lyla wants is a family who will finally be her forever. And once you meet her, its easy to understand why so many people have loved her so deeply.
