My story

Sadie Maes journey hasnt always been easy. Found as a frightened, painfully thin stray, she came into rescue unsure of the world and simply looking for safety. But beneath that timid exterior was a gentle, loving soul just waiting for someone to believe in her. Now, Sadie Mae is blossoming into a beautiful young girl who forms deep bonds with her people and loves with her whole heart. She gets attached quickly not because shes needy, but because shes finally discovering what it feels like to be safe, cared for, and part of a family. Shes wonderfully calm for such a young pup, affectionate beyond words, and happiest when shes near her humans or playing with her foster sister. Whether theyre romping in the yard, wrestling, or sharing quiet downtime, Sadie Maes sweet personality shines through. This clever girl is also eager to learn. She already knows how to wait politely at doorways, is working on recall and stay, and catches on quickly with positive reinforcement (and a tasty treat or two!). Her crate is her cozy little safe space she happily hops right in for her special treat and even chooses to nap there each day. Because Sadie Mae once knew hunger, food still means a lot to her. Shes very food motivated and learns beautifully through reward-based training. With continued guidance, patience, and love, she will only continue to flourish. Sadie Mae is the kind of dog who doesnt need to be the loudest or flashiest to steal your heart. She does it quietly with her gentle eyes, soft affection, silly hound nose, and the pure gratitude she shows for every kindness. Shes looking for a family who will cherish her, guide her, and give her the secure, loving future she deserves.
