My story

Foster Insights/Backstory: Huckleberrys journey began early, when he and his siblings were pulled from a local shelter at just six weeks old. They were part of a large litter, split up so they could all be saved, and his early months were spent growing up in foster care surrounded by siblings, playtime, and safety. When their original foster could no longer manage such a busy household, Huckleberry came to his current fosterand quietly stole everyones heart.Huckleberry is the shy one of the bunch, but dont let that fool you. Beneath that gentle, slightly reserved exterior is a sweet, affectionate boy with a fun, sassy streak. Hes not wild or over-the-top at alljust the perfect balance of calm and playful. He loves romping around the yard with his sister, plays harder with her than with Marmaduke, and then happily settles in for downtime. Hes also a world-class communicator and will absolutely talk to you if youre moving too slowly when its mealtime, making sure you know hes patiently waiting but not that patiently.Huckleberry is loving, polite, and deeply connected to his people and canine companions. Hes friendly with new folks, a little shy at first, but warms up beautifully with kindness and consistency. Having another dog around helps him feel confident and brings out his joyful side. Hes a very good boy who just needs a home with space to run, a dog friend to share life with, and a family who appreciates a gentle soul with a touch of sass and a whole lot of heart.
