QUICK FACTS Name: Boseok Age: 5 years old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Jindo mix Color: Ivory Weight: 15kg / 33lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY My brave mama spent her days roaming the streets before finding shelter at a cargo and package facility. It was there that she gave birth to me and my siblings and did her best to keep us safe. When the facility eventually closed down, there was no one left to care for our little family. Thankfully, rescuers stepped in and brought us to safety. Because of their kindness, I was given the chance to grow up in a safe environment and begin my journey toward finding a forever home of my own.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY My name, Boseok, means Jewel in Korean, and many people say it suits me perfectly! I'm a precious little gem with both a beautiful personality and an adorable look. One of my cutest features is my ears. One ear is floppy while the other stands proudly upright, giving me a unique and charming expression that's hard to forget. I have the sweetest face and an equally sweet personality to match. I'm calm, gentle, and collected, and I genuinely enjoy being around people. My friendly nature helps me make connections easily, and once you meet me, it's hard not to fall in love with my quiet charm. I may be a little jewel, but I have a heart full of love to share with my future family.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I'm super friendly with people and love receiving affection, pets, and attention. I warm up very quickly and am always happy to make new friends. In fact, I can be so comfortable around people that I'll even show my belly the first time we meet as a sign of trust and affection! I also allow myself to be picked up and handled with ease. Being close to my people makes me happy, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with humans. If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate companion who loves people, I could be the perfect match. · With Dogs: I'm friendly with my dog friends and enjoy greeting new dogs and inviting them to play. I get along well with the dogs at the care facility and enjoy being part of the group. My social nature helps me make friends easily, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with other dogs. That said, I'm not afraid to stand my ground if another dog is being overly pushy or rude. I communicate my boundaries appropriately and appreciate thoughtful introductions when meeting new dogs for the first time. With proper introductions, I have shown that I can build positive relationships and coexist happily with other canine companions. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit. While out on walks, I may notice cats and look at them with curiosity, but I quickly disengage and continue on my way.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring, and having fun, but once I’ve had my activity and excitement, I’m more than happy to come inside and relax comfortably indoors.   TRAINING & HABITS I can pull on leash at times when I'm excited or interested in something, but overall I follow my handler's lead nicely and stay connected during walks. I do not guard my food from people, though I can be a little sensitive when other dogs are nearby during mealtimes. I know how to settle and rest calmly in my kennel when it's time to relax. In new environments, I may have a tendency to mark at first, so a consistent routine and gentle guidance will help me adjust successfully. The good news is that I generally adapt well to new surroundings and settle in nicely once I understand my routine and feel comfortable.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself.
