Meet Max 10 Years Young, Bulldog Mix, Professional Fun InspectorIf you`ve ever wanted a dog with the personality of a grumpy old man who secretly has the heart of a goofy toddler... allow us to introduce Max.Max has reached the stage in life where he`s stopped pretending to like everyone, and honestly, we respect the honesty.Let`s get the important stuff out of the way. Max is not the dog for everyone. He needs an adult home or one with older, dog-savvy teens who understand that consent applies to dogs too. He doesn`t appreciate strangers reaching over his head or surprising him with pets. In fact, that`s one of the quickest ways to ruin your chances of becoming his friend.Want to know the actual fastest way to Max`s heart?Show up with a squeaky toy.Congratulations, you`ve skipped about six months of small talk.Max isn`t overly cuddly. He`s more of a `let`s exist together` kind of guy. He`ll happily hang out beside you, lean in for a bum scratch during playtime, and keep you company while you binge-watch TV. If you`re looking for a velcro dog glued to your lap 24/7, that`s not Max`s style. He`s an independent gentleman.Training? Well...Max knows his name, has pretty decent recall, and has decided that`s enough education for one lifetime. At 10 years old, he`s not interested in earning obedience titles. He`s retired from academics.His true passions include:Shopping in the toy bin like he`s won the lottery.Squeaky toys (the louder, the better).Short games of tug.Playing fetch... until he decides he`d rather just chew the ball.Water. Hose? Amazing. Sprinklers? Incredible. Baths? Surprisingly acceptable.Stuffed toys, however, stand absolutely no chance. Max considers them a personal challenge.Despite his tough-guy reputation, Max has wonderful manners around his favourite things. He happily lets you touch around his face while he`s playing with toys, doesn`t guard his food, and enjoys all kinds of food enrichment. His tummy can be a little sensitive, but he`ll never turn down a good snack.When it comes to other dogs, Max is refreshingly uncomplicated. He`ll walk past them without much concern, may stop for a polite sniff, and then carries on with his day.
