Dana's journey began with courage and devotion. In May 2024, she was rescued alongside her four precious puppies. As a young mother, Dana had already given everything she had to protect and care for her babies. Shortly after her rescue, it was discovered that Dana was heartworm positive, raising concerns that her puppies may have been exposed as well. Thankfully, with the support and care of Band for Animal, Dana and her family were given a second chance. The puppies were healthy and unaffected, and Dana successfully completed her heartworm treatment. After months of recovery, she is now healthy, happy, and ready to find a loving family of her own. Dana is one of those dogs who simply adores people. Her favorite thing in the world is being close to her humans. The moment someone gives her attention, she melts into affectionrolling over to offer her belly, lying calmly by your side, and soaking up every pet and cuddle she can get. In fact, she's so eager to shower people with love that taking photos of her can be a challenge because she'd much rather come over for snuggles than pose for the camera. Walks are another highlight of Dana's day. She happily explores the world by your side and enjoys every opportunity to spend time with her people. Smart and emotionally intuitive, Dana knows exactly how to ask for affection and never misses a chance to remind you that she would love a little extra attention. After spending so much of her life caring for others, Dana is finally ready to be the one who is cherished. She dreams of a family who will appreciate her gentle heart, affectionate nature, and unwavering love. In return, Dana promises to be a loyal companion who will fill every day with warmth, cuddles, and joy. Could you be the happy ending Dana has been waiting for?
