My story

QUICK FACTS Name: Pinky Age: Born in 2025 October 23. 8 months old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Jindo mix Color: Ivory Weight: 12kg / 26.4lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY My mother was rescued from a severely neglected and abusive situation before I was born. Thankfully, rescuers stepped in and brought her to safety, where she later gave birth to me and my siblings at the care facility. Because of her rescue, we were given the chance to grow up safe, loved, and cared for. Now, I'm ready to find a forever family of my very own and start the next chapter of my life.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY I'm a sweet and gentle girl who is still learning about the world. Because I didn't have much early socialization, new environments can feel a little overwhelming at first, and I may need some time to adjust and feel comfortable. With patience and kindness, my true personality begins to shine. The volunteers and staff who have taken the time to get to know me have seen just how affectionate and loving I can be. Once I build trust, I enjoy being close to my people and do very well with gentle guidance and encouragement. I have so much potential, and I know that with the right family, I'll continue to gain confidence, blossom, and grow into a wonderful, loving girl who will bring so much joy to her forever home.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I'm a little shy when we first meet, but I'll happily take treats gently from your hand while I get to know you. I may need some time before I'm ready for pets and affection, but I promise I'm worth the wait! Once I feel comfortable and safe, my affectionate side comes shining through. I'll happily shower you with kisses, seek out your attention, and enjoy being close to my people. I allow myself to be picked up, and one of the best signs that you've won my trust is when I roll over and show you my belly. With a little patience and understanding in the beginning, you'll discover a loving, sweet girl who has so much affection to give. · With Dogs: While I can be a little shy around people at first, I'm much more confident around my dog friends! I enjoy greeting new dogs, making friends, and spending time socializing with other canine companions. I generally get along best with larger dogs and enjoy their company. My friendly nature helps me build positive relationships with other dogs, and I enjoy having canine friends to help me feel comfortable and confident. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is currently unknown, but a cat test can be arranged upon request to help ensure the best match for everyone involved. During walks, I've shown curiosity when I notice cats, but I don't fixate on them and quickly continue on my way. This is a positive sign, though a formal cat assessment would provide a better understanding of how I would do in a home with feline friends.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring, and having fun, but once I’ve had my activity and excitement, I’m more than happy to come inside and relax comfortably indoors.   TRAINING & HABITS I'm still learning my leash manners and gaining confidence as I experience more of the world. Loud noises can sometimes startle me, and unfamiliar situations may feel a little overwhelming at first, but I'm improving day by day. I would do best with a patient family who understands that I'm still learning and is willing to gently show me the ropes. I don't guard my food from people or other dogs and have good manners around mealtimes. I may bark when I see a stranger or something unfamiliar, but I settle down quickly once I realize everything is okay. Car rides can sometimes make me feel nervous or a little carsick, so I'll appreciate extra reassurance, encouragement, and patience while I continue building positive experiences. For potty habits, I can use both pee pads indoors and go potty outdoors. With consistency, kindness, and positive reinforcement, my confidence continues to grow, and I'm becoming more comfortable with new experiences every day.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever • Understanding that I’m still a young pup and will need continued guidance with socialization and basic obedience   SPECIAL NOTES I'm a sweet and gentle girl with so much potential waiting to bloom. While I may be shy at first and need a little time to adjust, every day I'm becoming more confident and learning that the world isn't such a scary place after all. The people who know me best have seen how much progress I've made. Once I build trust, I'm incredibly affectionate, loving, and eager to be close to my people. I may not be the type to rush into new situations, but when I give you my heart, I give it completely. I know I'm not a dog who will show my full personality on day one, but I promise I'm worth the wait. With patience, understanding, and love, I'll continue to blossom into the sweet, affectionate girl I was always meant to be. Watching my confidence grow and seeing me come out of my shell will be one of the most rewarding experiences for my forever family.   PINKY'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.co ##2768866##
