QUICK FACTS Name: Maldives Age: About 2 Years Old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Jindo – Terrier Mix Color: Brown Weight: 8kg / 17.6lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from a municipal shelter after being placed on the euthanasia list, and that rescue gave me a precious second chance at life. Thanks to the kindness of the people who stepped in to help me, I now have the opportunity to look forward to a brighter future. I'm excited to find a loving forever family and begin the next chapter of my journey, filled with new adventures and happy memories.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Spayed & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I'm Maldives! I'm a bright, happy-go-lucky dog who truly believes that everyone is a friend I just haven't met yet. I absolutely adore people and get along wonderfully with other dogs too, so making new friends is one of my favorite things to do! My sweet, affectionate personality shines wherever I go, and I'm always ready to greet the world with a wagging tail and a happy heart. I have a big appetite and never say no to treats, which makes me both entertaining and easy to motivate. Most people meet me and see how incredibly gentle and loving I am. My beautiful coat is still growing back, and everyone says I'm going to become even more handsome as my fluffy mane comes in. If you're looking for a cheerful companion who will love every person she meets and fill your days with joy, I can't wait to meet you!   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I absolutely love being around people! Whether we've known each other for years or we're meeting for the very first time, I'm happy to come over for attention, lean against you, and enjoy all the pets and affection you have to offer. I'm comfortable being gently picked up and love being close to my people. Once we've become friends, I'll happily roll over and show you my belly—a sure sign that I trust you and feel safe. I haven't had the opportunity to meet children under 13 yet, so I'm still looking forward to discovering what they're like. · With Dogs: I love making new dog friends! Whether we've known each other for a long time or we're meeting for the very first time, I'm always happy to walk over, say hello, and invite them to play. Even if another dog isn't having their best day or tries to provoke me, I'm more likely to walk away and avoid conflict, preferring peace and friendship whenever possible. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have moderate energy level – I have a balanced energy level and enjoy spending time outdoors exploring and going for walks. After I've had some exercise and fresh air, I'm happy to settle down and relax by your side. I'm an experienced walker with good leash manners, so I stay close to my person, follow well, and enjoy our adventures together without pulling on the leash.   TRAINING & HABITS I'm easygoing when it comes to mealtime and don't feel the need to guard my food from people or other dogs. I'm a quiet companion who rarely barks. I stay calm and relaxed when I'm in my kennel I'm flexible with my potty habits, comfortably using both indoor pee pads and going outside for bathroom breaks.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES My right eye is a little smaller due to a condition called microphthalmia. It doesn't slow me down or affect my daily life, and I navigate the world just like any other dog.
