Bumblebee

My story

Hi, I’m Bumblebee!I arrived to GHS with my four siblings in June. We were all a bit underweight and so we naturally did a bit of resource guarding between each other, which is something we’re still working on. With unknown histories, my friends at GHS don’t know for sure what type of breed I am, so I could be as small as a boston terrier mix or as big as a boxer mix. I am very excited to move into my new home and keep the ball rolling with my socialization. It is important that I join a family that has the time and patience to dedicate to my socialization and training, and who can handle my energy and excitement. To become a well-rounded, socialized adult, it`s important I have frequent and positive interactions with new people, children, other dogs, visits to the vet clinic and other unfamiliar environments (like friends` homes and pet stores). It`s also important I continue to get practice with handling so I continue to be comfortable when I am older and go for vet visits, get nail trims and receive brushing and grooming.MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES…CHILDREN: I could be a good match with mature and respectful children. OTHER DOGS: With caution, given my resource guarding tendencies.CATS: Potentially, with a cat confident around puppy exuberance.FIRST-TIME DOG OWNERS: Someone with experience would be ideal.FENCED-IN YARD: Not necessarily, but a proper plan to meet my energy needs will be important!HOUSING ENVIRONMENT: Any.SOMEONE HOME MOST OF THE DAY: Not necessarily, but I wouldn`t be set up for success being left for a full work day right from the start.SOME OTHER THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ME…ACTIVITY LEVEL: Medium puppy energy.HOUSE-TRAINED: No, this will require continued training and patience.
