My story

Courtesy Post Bronx is with Toronto Animal Services.  Please contact them at (416) 338-PAWS (7297) if you are interested in him. Bronx is a beautiful, 2 year old, 30kg, American Bulldog who is at Toronto Animal Services West shelter. Bronx came in after being abandoned at a neighbour's home. When he arrived at the shelter, he was very nervous but sweet. He easily bonds with anyone he meets and will stick with you like glue. In the shelter he is anxious and is currently on meds to help him but he was lucky enough to spend a day out with one of the volunteers who said he was amazing in the home and had this to say:  “Bronx seemed shy and very anxious at first when he was in the kennel at the shelter. But outside of that, in a home setting, he is such a good dog. He likes to cuddle and enjoys quiet time. He’ll happily snuggle with you on the couch and will boop you with his nose when he wants attention. I think he would do well in a quiet home with a big space he can explore. He’s the perfect homebody who can accompany you while relaxing and spending time at home. Once he became comfortable, he was very responsive to commands and seemed eager to connect. He would wag his tail and seek out attention, showing a really sweet and affectionate side of his personality.” Bronx does have some skin issues that the vet suspects is some degree of allergic skin disease (possibly due to food, environment, etc).  He is being treated with medication and special shampoos. He is also currently on a hypo diet and is on Apoquel (along with anxiety meds for shelter stress). His skin is looking well but it will be something that needs to be monitored and/or treated long term.  Bronx has been neutered, microchipped and given his DA2PP, Bordetella and Rabies vaccines along with dewormer and a treatment of Bravecto.July 2, 2026, 11:11 pm

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Bronx, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
