QUICK FACTS Name: Popcorn Age: Around 5 months old Gender: Female (Spaying to be scheduled) Breed: Poodle Color: Black Weight: 1.8kg / 4lb Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I came from a backyard breeder who could no longer care for me. Sadly, Bonbon, Ribbon, and I were abandoned together at an animal hospital with nowhere to go. Thankfully, kind-hearted people stepped in to make sure we were safe, giving us the second chance every dog deserves. Now those difficult days are behind me, and I'm enjoying the care, love, and attention I've always deserved. I'm patiently waiting for a forever family who will cherish me, spoil me, and make sure I never have to wonder where I belong again.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY I'm super tiny and absolutely adorable! The staff and volunteers often laugh and wonder how I get around because I'm so little. They expect that even as a full-grown adult, I'll stay a very small dog and weigh only around 3 kg (6.6 lbs)! Don't let my tiny size fool you. I have all the sass and personality of a Poodle packed into one little body! I can jump surprisingly high and love hopping onto chairs so I can sit beside my favorite people for pets and attention. I have the perfect balance of independence and affection. I'm happy doing my own thing, but when it's cuddle time, I become the sweetest little lap dog and love snuggling in your arms like a little doll. Every now and then, I'll randomly look up at the sky and let out the cutest little howl, which always makes the staff and volunteers laugh. While I may be a little shy at first, I warm up quickly, and before long my quirky, playful, and sassy personality shines through. If you're looking for a tiny dog with a huge personality, endless charm, and lots of love to give, I might just be your perfect match!   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I'm a little shy when we first meet, but treats are the quickest way to win me over! I warm up very quickly and soon become comfortable around my people. I happily accept affection and allow myself to be picked up. With just a little patience in the beginning, you'll quickly discover my sweet, loving personality. · With Dogs: I'm more independent when it comes to my dog friends. I enjoy greeting new dogs, but I don't usually jump straight into play and prefer to take my time. I'm a bit of an introvert and like to observe my surroundings before deciding to join in. Once I'm comfortable, I'm happy to peacefully coexist with my canine companions while doing my own thing. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level and enjoy spending time outdoors exploring, running around, and having fun. Once I've had my exercise and adventure, I'm more than happy to come inside, curl up beside my people, and enjoy a cozy nap. I have a wonderful balance of playfulness and relaxation, making me an easy companion to enjoy both outdoor adventures and quiet time at home.   TRAINING & HABITS I'm still learning my leash manners and improving every day. As a young pup, I have so much potential and am eager to learn with continued guidance, patience, and positive reinforcement. I don't guard my food from people or other dogs and have good manners around mealtimes. I may let out a little howl when I want attention, but I settle down quickly once my needs are met. I know how to rest calmly in my kennel and can potty both indoors using a pee pad and outdoors, giving my future family a great foundation to build on.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever • Ideally, a family that appreciates the intelligent, energetic nature of Poodles and understands that I'll benefit from continued socialization, basic obedience training, and mental enrichment as I grow. While experience with the breed is a bonus, it's not required. A loving family that is committed to helping me learn and thrive is all I need.   SPECIAL NOTES Don't let my initial shyness fool you! Once I feel comfortable, you'll quickly discover what a bright, fun little girl I am. I have a big appetite and absolutely love treats, which makes me eager to learn and easy to train. I'm a smart pup who picks up new commands and routines very quickly. Despite my tiny size, I might surprise you with how high I can jump! I also have a little bit of that classic Poodle sass and love showing off my playful personality from time to time. My combination of intelligence, charm, and quirky character keeps the staff and volunteers smiling.
