QUICK FACTS Name: Malta Age: About 6 Months Old Gender: Female (Spaying Scheduled) Breed: Welsch Corgi Mix Color: White and Brown Weight: 7kg / 15.4lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from the municipal shelter on the very day I was scheduled for euthanasia. Even after my scheduled date had passed, kind shelter staff held onto hope that I might still have a chance to find a family, and thanks to their compassion, I was given that precious second chance. Now I'm looking forward to finding a loving forever home where I can begin the happy new chapter I've been waiting for.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Spaying Scheduled & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I'm Malta! I'm a beautiful little girl with a bright smile, curious eyes, and the sweetest personality. I can be a little shy when we first meet, so I may not come running up right away. Instead, I'll quietly watch from a safe distance, gathering my courage before coming over to say hello. Once I realize you're kind, my curiosity always wins, and before long I'll be happily making friends and staying close by your side. My early life didn't give me many opportunities to experience the world, so I'm still learning that new people and places can be fun and safe. Every day, I'm becoming more confident through walks, positive experiences, and gentle interactions with people. Beneath my slightly shy exterior is an incredibly gentle, affectionate girl who's just waiting for someone to give her a little time to blossom. If you're willing to be patient during my first few weeks, I know I'll reward you with a lifetime of love, trust, and loyal companionship.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be a little shy when we first meet, but I'm happy to accept treats from new friends and start building trust. I just like to take a little extra time before I'm ready for gentle pets. Once I feel comfortable, my sweet personality begins to shine, and I truly enjoy being close to my people. I'm also comfortable being gently picked up, making it easy to care for and cuddle me. I haven't had the opportunity to meet children under 13 yet, so I'm still looking forward to discovering what they're like. · With Dogs: I'm friendly and polite with other dogs and enjoy walking over to say hello when we meet. While I'm not usually the type to jump into playtime, I'm happy to peacefully coexist and appreciate the company of other calm, well-mannered dogs. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have moderate energy – I have a balanced energy level and enjoy spending time outdoors on walks and little adventures. After I've had some exercise and fresh air, I'm happy to settle down and relax by your side. I'm currently learning my leash skills and making steady progress, and with a little patience and encouragement, I'm becoming a wonderful walking companion every day.   TRAINING & HABITS I'm easygoing when it comes to mealtime and don't feel the need to guard my food from people or other dogs. I'm a quiet companion who rarely barks. I stay calm and relaxed in my kennel I'm flexible with my potty habits, comfortably using both indoor pee pads and going outside for bathroom breaks.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself.
