My story

Niki is an adorable 2½-year-old Chug (Chihuahua–Pug mix) with long, spindly legs, a sleek, shiny black coat, and the cutest little underbite. She is affectionate and playful, delighting in toys, zoomies, and cozy snuggle sessions. Housebroken and accustomed to using a dog door, Niki enjoys exploring the yard and can jump surprisingly high, so a secure 6-foot fence is a must. Niki walks gently on leash, though she can be easily startled and may cross in front of you, so continued leash training will help her build confidence. She loves staying close to her person and will happily follow you from room to room just to be by your side. Friendly with both men and women, Niki also enjoys playing and cuddling with other dogs. This sweet girl is ready to bring joy, companionship, and plenty of love to her forever home. Our adoption fee helps cover expenses (vaccinations, microchips, spay/neuter, food, housing) for the homeless pets we rescue. UAF does not adopt or ship outside the state of Arizona. To ensure the best fit, UAF conducts a home visit to meet other pets and verify a safe, secure yard. If you have any questions or to adopt a dog an application must submitted.
