Meet Dash - Dash's story didn't begin with kindness.He was seized as part of a neglect court case in Kentucky after living in heartbreaking conditions. When he first arrived, he was absolutely starved - his body thin, his skin covered in fleas and painful scabs. Locked inside a home filled with far too many dogs, Dash had known isolation and cruelty instead of comfort.He waited a long time for the court case to conclude. And now, finally, this sweet boy is free and ready for a fresh start.At 4 years old and 34 lbs, this white and grey Boxer mix is gentle, medium-energy, and incredibly loyal. What he's been through shows up at first - he can be a little shy when meeting new people or dogs. But give him a little patience, a soft voice, and a safe space... and you'll see his true heart shine.Once Dash trusts you, he is:*Affectionate and devoted*Calm and well-mannered*Housebroken and crate trained*Good with kids, adults, and kind dogs*Gentle and submissive with other dogsHe walks nicely on leash, isn't destructive, and simply wants a peaceful home with a yard where he can feel safe and stretch his legs.
