QUICK FACTS Name: Banggeul Age: About 8 Years Old (Estimated to be born in January 2018) Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Shetland Sheepdog (Sheltie) Color: Brown Weight: 7.2kg / 15.5lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from an animal café in 2022 and given the chance to begin a brand-new life. Since my rescue, I've been surrounded by kindness, care, and patience, helping me leave my past behind one day at a time. Now I'm looking forward to finding a loving forever family where I can spend the rest of my life feeling safe, cherished, and loved. MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Spayed Hypothyroidism – Managed with Thyroxine (Synthroid) medication twice a day Left Hip Dysplasia – I am currently doing well and surgery would only be needed if I start having difficulty walking or show signs of discomfort MY PERSONALITY Hi, I'm Banggeul! I'm a gentle, sweet-natured girl with a kind heart and the prettiest smile. Life wasn't always easy for me, but despite everything I've been through, I've never lost my loving spirit. I adore people and have a calm, affectionate personality that makes it easy to fall in love with me. At 8 years old, I'm still full of love to give and ready to enjoy all the comfort and happiness that comes with having a forever home. My front teeth show signs of a difficult past, and while one of my back legs may eventually need hip surgery to keep me comfortable in the future, I'm doing well and enjoying life today. Through it all, I've remained incredibly gentle, resilient, and full of love. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a heart of gold, I promise I'll spend every day showing you just how grateful I am to finally have a family of my own. MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I absolutely love being around people! Whether we've known each other for years or we're meeting for the very first time, I'll happily come over to say hello, lean against you, and soak up all the pets and affection you have to offer. I have a friendly, affectionate personality and enjoy making new human friends wherever I go. Once we've become friends, I'll happily roll over and show you my belly—a special sign that I trust you completely. I'm also comfortable being gently picked up, making it easy to care for and cuddle me. I haven't had the opportunity to meet children under 13 yet, so I'm still looking forward to discovering what they're like. · With Dogs: I don't pay much attention to other dogs and am happy to peacefully coexist with them. I'm easygoing around dog companions but usually prefer focusing on my own adventures and spending time with my people. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have moderate energy level – I have a balanced energy level and enjoy spending time outdoors exploring and going for walks. After I've had some exercise and fresh air, I'm happy to settle down and relax by your side. I'm an experienced walker with excellent leash manners, so I stay close to my person, walk without pulling, and naturally enjoy following wherever our adventures take us. TRAINING & HABITS I'm easygoing when it comes to mealtime and don't feel the need to guard my food from people or other dogs. If there's something I really want, I might let you know with a little bark—it's simply my way of communicating with my people! I'm calm and relaxed in my kennel I'm flexible with my potty habits, happily using both indoor pee pads and going outside for bathroom breaks. MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever SPECIAL NOTES I'm a big fan of treats—sometimes a little too enthusiastic! I can get so excited at snack time that I forget my manners, so taking treats slowly from a flat hand helps me remember to be gentle. I have a habit of trying to eat other dogs' stool if I come across it. The good news is that it's easy to manage by promptly cleaning up after other dogs and supervising me during potty breaks. One of my back legs is doing well right now, but I have an underlying hip condition that may require surgery in the future. If I'm adopted before that becomes necessary, the rescue plans to have the corrective surgery completed before I go to my forever home, so I'll be ready to start my new life with the best possible care.
