My story

QUICK FACTS Name: Haerang Age: Born February 21, 2026 (Around 5 months old) Gender: Female (Spaying to be scheduled) Breed: Jindo mix Color: Black Weight:  9.6kg / 21lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from a car center where I had been neglected and wasn't receiving the care and attention every dog deserves. Thankfully, kind rescuers stepped in and gave me a second chance at life. My difficult past is now behind me, and I'm ready to leave those days behind as I begin a brand new chapter with a loving forever family.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY The volunteers and staff are always complimenting both my wonderful personality and my adorable looks! They say I look just like a little black bean, and it's easy to see why everyone falls in love with me. I get along wonderfully with both people and other dogs. While I absolutely adore spending time with my humans, I also have an independent side that's so characteristic of the Jindo breed. I'm the perfect blend of affectionate and confident! Don't let my small size fool you either. I can jump surprisingly high and love showing off my athletic side. I'm also a smart little girl who already knows how to sit, and I'm excited to keep learning with my forever family.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I'm an incredibly friendly girl who loves meeting new people! I'll happily greet everyone I meet and am always excited to make new friends. I don't mind being picked up, and one of my favorite ways to show how comfortable and happy I am is by rolling over for a belly rub, even if we've only just met. My sweet, affectionate, and trusting personality makes it easy for everyone I meet to fall in love with me. · With Dogs: I'm friendly and social with other dogs and enjoy making new canine friends! While I get along well with dogs of all sizes, I can sometimes feel a little intimidated or overwhelmed around larger dogs when first meeting them. With a proper introduction and a little time to build my confidence, I settle in nicely and enjoy their company. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is currently unknown, but a cat test can be arranged upon request to help ensure the best match for my future home. I do enjoy chasing birds when I spot them during walks, so I'll appreciate a family that can help keep me safely on leash while we explore the outdoors together   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a high energy level and love being active! Whether it's running around, exploring new places, or heading out on exciting adventures, I'm always ready for fun. Once I've had plenty of exercise and time to burn off my energy, I'm just as happy to come inside, curl up, and relax with my family. I'd thrive with an active home that can provide both the physical activity and love I need to be my happiest self.   TRAINING & HABITS I walk well on leash and enjoy exploring the world by your side! I can pull a little at times, especially when I'm excited to head toward something that catches my interest, but with continued training and consistency, my leash manners will only get better. I'm also a very quiet girl who rarely barks. I rest calmly in my kennel, though I'm still learning to feel completely comfortable there and may drool a bit while I adjust. I can also get carsick, so I'll benefit from gradual desensitization and positive experiences with car rides. For potty habits, I currently use both pee pads indoors and go potty outside. As I settle into a consistent walking routine, I'll likely transition to preferring to do my business outdoors.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES I'm a wonderful combination of playful, affectionate, and independent, making me a great example of the lovable Jindo personality. The volunteers and staff are always complimenting both my adorable looks and my sweet nature, and they lovingly say I look just like a little black bean! I enjoy spending time with people and other dogs, but I'm also happy entertaining myself once I've had my fun. Don't let my small size fool you either. I can jump surprisingly high and love showing off my athletic side! I'm already learning commands like "sit" and am eager to keep learning with my forever family.
