My story

Lady is looking for a soft place to land. ??Some dogs arrive at the shelter wagging their tails. Others arrive carrying the weight of everything they`ve been through.Lady is one of those dogs.After spending more than two weeks on the run, a dedicated group of people worked tirelessly to earn her trust and bring her to safety. Now that she`s here, we`re taking things one day at a time.Lady is a gentle soul who is still learning that people can be kind. She`s very timid and needs someone who will let her settle in at her own pace. She isn`t asking for much, just a quiet home, a predictable routine, and someone who understands that the biggest victories may be the smallest steps.She has been polite around other dogs, and we think she`d do best with a calm, easy-going canine companion who will help her build confidence without overwhelming her.Because Lady is still adjusting, we`re looking for a foster or foster-to-adopt home where she can continue to decompress outside of the shelter environment.
