This handsome boy is looking for a patient, loving family who will give him the time he needs to continue building confidence and learning that the world is a safe place. While Maxwell can be timid around new people and situations, he is already showing wonderful signs of trust in his foster home and is beginning to let his affectionate personality shine through. Once he feels comfortable, he loves being close to his people and has all the makings of a loyal little companion.Maxwell would thrive in a calm, quiet home where his adopters understand that confidence grows at its own pace. A fenced yard would be a dream come true for him, as he absolutely loves spending time outdoors exploring and relaxing in the fresh air. He is house trained, well-mannered, settles quietly in his crate, and gets along well with other dogs, happily coexisting and greeting them politely. While he is still very fearful on leash walks and will need ongoing confidence-building and positive reinforcement, Maxwell's gentle nature and willingness to trust make him an incredibly rewarding dog to help blossom.
