Pike

My story

Pike is an 8 year old terrier mix. He was originally rescued from a shelter in Kentucky, and lived his entire life in Ohio. He has recently found himself in Arizona. My ex could no longer handle Pike's needs and wanted to euthanize him, so despite knowing he would not be able to thrive with me, I took him in. Pike has severe anxiety, and because of this, apartment life is unsustainable for him. He is terrified all of the time. He also needs a yard and a fence since he's unable to wear a collar or harness at this time. He is on quite a few different anxiety medications, so he would need an adopter who would be able to provide his medical care for him. Other than his anxiety, he is in excellent health. Pike is a very lovable dog, and he loves to cuddle. He takes to new people very quickly. He has a tendency to resource guard, so a home with no other dogs or small children would be best for him. He really is a fantastic dog, and I would keep him if I could.
