QUICK FACTS Name: Almond Age: About 1.5 Years Old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Jindo Mix Color: Brown and Black Weight: 10kg / 22lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from a breeding facility after kind rescuers found me lovingly caring for my five puppies. Thanks to their compassion, my puppies and I were given the chance to begin a new life. I'm looking forward to finding a forever home where I can finally be cared for with the same love I always gave to my babies.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Spayed & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I'm Almond! I'm a gentle, calm Jindo girl with a kind heart and the quiet, graceful nature the breed is known for. I may be a little shy when we first meet, but I don't stay that way for long. Give me a day or two to settle into a new environment, and my naturally sweet personality quickly begins to shine. Once I feel comfortable, I'm an easygoing companion who enjoys being close to my people without asking for too much. My unique "four-eyed" markings give me an especially charming look that makes me unforgettable, and my calm, gentle energy makes me a wonderful match for a peaceful home. If you're looking for a loyal, gentle friend with a soft heart, beautiful soul, and a lifetime of love to give, I'd be so happy to spend my next chapter by your side.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I'm a little shy when meeting new people, but it doesn't take much to win me over. Offer me a tasty treat, and I'll happily accept it—and before long, I'll be comfortable enough to enjoy gentle pets and affection. I can also be picked up comfortably by supporting me under my belly, and I stay calm while being held. I haven't had the opportunity to meet children under 13 yet, so my behavior around young kids is simply unknown. · With Dogs: I'm a very social dog who loves making new friends. Whether we've known each other for a while or we've just met, I'm happy to walk right up, say hello, and invite other dogs to play. When I find dogs whose play style matches mine, I have a wonderful time running around and enjoying their company. Even if another dog tries to provoke me, I'd much rather avoid conflict and simply walk away, making me an easygoing companion in most social situations. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have moderate energy level – I enjoy spending time outdoors, whether it's exploring, sniffing around, or simply taking in my surroundings. After I've had a chance to stretch my legs and enjoy some fresh air, I'm happy to settle down and relax quietly. I'm currently learning my leash manners and making great progress. I can be a bit enthusiastic and may pull on the leash at times, but I generally stay connected with my person and follow along well. With continued guidance and positive reinforcement, I'll continue to grow into a wonderful walking companion.   TRAINING & HABITS I have good manners around people when it comes to food and don't mind if someone is nearby while I'm eating. Around other dogs, however, I may give a warning growl if one comes too close to my meal, so feeding me separately or giving me a little personal space during mealtimes helps everyone stay comfortable. I can be a little vocal when I'm in a kennel and may whine at first, but it's simply my way of expressing myself rather than a sign of distress. With a little reassurance and a consistent routine, I settle more easily. I'm also well accustomed to both indoor pee pads and outdoor potty breaks, so I can adapt well to different home routines.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES I recently finished raising a litter of puppies, so I'm still quite thin after dedicating so much of myself to my babies.
