My story

Sonora is a young Doberman, around 1 year old, whose story is as heartbreaking as it is extraordinary. Her spirit, resilience, and gentle heart continue to amaze us every single day. She was discovered on the border of Mexico, tied to a tree by her back foot. We were there to rescue two other dogs when we came across Sonora in this devastating condition. She was freshly postpartum, severely emaciated, and still visibly engorged, making it heartbreakingly clear that she had recently given birth before being abandoned to suffer alone. Despite everything she had endured, Sonora greeted us with quiet kindness. There is a softness about her that somehow survived unimaginable neglect. From the moment she arrived, she has shown us just how sweet, gentle, and loving she truly is. Today, Sonora is thriving. She is currently enrolled in a professional board and train program, where she is continuing to build confidence, learn structure, and develop the skills she needs to be the very best companion. She has been making wonderful progress and continues to blossom each day. Sonora is looking for a patient, understanding family who will give her the love and security she's always deserved. In return, she'll reward you with unwavering loyalty, endless affection, and a heart that's ready to trust again.
