My story

Monica is a puppy just under 3-months old, and she is a happy, good-natured little girl who is ready to make the world her playground! Mom is a Husky Shepherd mix and their dad is unknown, making these puppies a true mystery mix with a little surprise in their family tree! Friendly, playful, and active, Monica loves exploring and investigating everything around her. She is wonderful with people and dogs and would likely enjoy having kids in her forever family too. Monica is already showing some impressive puppy progress. She is pretty much housetrained and will alert her people when she needs to go outside, and she sleeps beautifully overnight from around 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. She loves to chew, especially sticks, so her family will want to keep plenty of appropriate chew toys handy. She is also very food motivated, which is fantastic for training, although a slow feeder may help remind her that meals don't need to disappear at record speed! Like any puppy, Monica is still working on her manners and may be jumpy or vocal when she's excited and playing. She is learning about crate training, housetraining, boundaries, and all the other important skills that come with growing up. Continued obedience training and positive reinforcement will help her turn all that puppy enthusiasm into excellent grown-up manners. Monica would thrive with a family ready to enjoy the fun and occasional chaos of puppyhood while helping her become her best self. She has a wonderful, social personality and would love plenty of play, exploration, training, cuddles, and appropriate things to chew. In return, she'll bring plenty of happy puppy energy into her forever home! Our adoption fees cover all up to date veterinary needs, including but not limited to: full veterinary examination, age appropriate vaccinations, fecal test and parasite prevention, wellness bloodwork, spay or neuter, and microchip. All dogs will be started on a 6 week trial of pet insurance after adoption. Local adopters can take advantage of 50% off a training course at Ruff Haus in Barrie (www.ruffhaus.ca) and all adopters will also be signed up for Petcademy to offer 30 days of free text-based behavioural support.
