My story

Hello, my name is Rosa!I’m the sweetest wee senior pup you’ll ever meet. I came to GHS in need of a lot of help, but after a few months of specialized medical care and lots of love, I’m ready to spend my golden years with my new forever family! Despite everything, I’m a loving, friendly, easygoing gal who just wants to be adored. My new family should know I have a chronic skin condition, history of mast cell tumours, early cataracts, and possible reduced hearing. I know this sounds scary, but my conditions are currently well controlled! I will need routine monitoring throughout my life, so you should chat with your veterinarian before adopting me! My friends at GHS will share more details about my conditions with my applicants.MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES…CHILDREN: Teenagers may be ok, but no young children as I’m looking for a calm retirement home.OTHER DOGS: Potentially, with a calm and respectful dog who won’t pester me in trying to play.CATS: Potentially, with a cat comfortable with dogs.FIRST-TIME DOG OWNERS: I would do best in a home that has dog experience, especially with medical conditions.FENCED-IN YARD: Not necessarily.
