My story

Dakota ended up at the shelter because her family discovered something every puppy owner eventually learns... Puppies will be puppies. One accident in the house, and suddenly her whole world changed. Today, Dakota is thriving in our Puppy Prison Program in Georgia, where she's learning that people can be kind, routines are comforting, and the world isn't as scary as it once seemed. Dakota is a gentle, slow-and-steady kind of girl. She's shy when you first meet her, but once you earn her trust, you've got a loyal sidekick for life. She loves her people with her whole heart and wants to be wherever you are. She finds confidence in other dogs and happily follows them around like a little shadow. A confident canine companion would help her continue to blossom in her forever home. When the day winds down, Dakota is happiest curled up beside you on the couch or relaxing on the porch, quietly watching the cars roll by. She's calm, affectionate, and content just being with her favorite person.
