My story

He may be small, but he has a HUGE personality! Jasper is a funny, spunky little guy who is full of energy, loves to play fetch, and absolutely adores people. He wants nothing more than to be right by your side, soaking up attention and snuggling with his favourite humans. He would be happiest in a home where he can be the centre of attention and be doted on like the little king he believes he is! Jasper is healthy but does have a slight birth deformity of his front left leg and has recovered from a previous broken pelvis after being hit by a car but that doesn't slow him down! He is on a joint-mobility diet and joint supplement simply to provide additional support. Jasper has lived in a busy home with a 3-year-old child and loves children of all ages. He can be a little cranky if he is sleeping or resting and someone tries to move or disturb him, so a home with older children who understand that dogs need their space while resting would be best. Jasper currently lives with a larger dog and two cats. He is confident around other dogs and can sometimes be a bit bossy, although never aggressive. Because he is fearless when it comes to stealing food and getting into other dogs business, he would do best with another small or medium size dog. He also enjoys chasing and playing with the resident cats, so any feline friends in his future home should be confident, dog-savvy cats who won't be bothered by his enthusiasm. Jasper's biggest area for improvement is his manners. He needs someone willing to work with him on his boundaries and house training. He is also very opinionated about things he doesn't enjoy-nail trims and having a muzzle put on are definitely on his "absolutely not!" list. With patience, consistency and positive reinforcement, Jasper has every opportunity to become an even more wonderful little companion. What Jasper really needs is simple: a family who will make him the centre of their world and shower him with love and attention. He is sweet, funny, affectionate and full of personality, and he's looking for someone who will appreciate all of those big qualities packed into one very little dog. Medical Notes: Hit by car previously and had a broken pelvis which has healed and fused. Bowlegged front left leg (natural deformity). Had dental surgery to remove incisors that were pressing into top pallet.
