My story

Sinbi is a sweet little princess from Korea who is looking for the loving family she has always deserved. Sinbi can be a little afraid of the outside world at first. New places may make her nervous, and in an unfamiliar environment she may freeze or seem unsure of what to do. But with gentle encouragement, patience, and plenty of praise, she blossoms into a wonderful walking companion. Once she understands that she is safe and that her person is there to protect her, Sinbi quickly begins to trust. Even in busy or crowded places, she usually stays very close to her person's legs and walks calmly. She is an incredibly adaptable girl who seems to understand surprisingly quickly what her person is asking of her-and she responds beautifully. At home, Sinbi's sweet personality truly shines. She loves making eye contact, asking for pets, and staying connected to the people she loves. When she is with her family, she is often smiling and happily sharing her feelings. She is a wonderful communicator and has such a gentle, affectionate way of letting you know what is in her heart. Sinbi's journey has not been an easy one. She was once used by a YouTuber to make money, with donations collected through her story, before the person eventually disappeared and Sinbi was abandoned at a kill shelter. Her earliest experiences with people were likely confusing and painful. After she was rescued, she could not find a foster home right away and spent a long time staying at a veterinary hospital. Because Sinbi had fewer opportunities to experience everyday home life and discover the world in a safe environment, she can be cautious and shy when something is new. But beneath that initial uncertainty is an incredibly gentle, loving girl who simply needs someone willing to give her the time and reassurance she deserves. Sinbi doesn't need a perfect family. She needs a patient one-a family who will walk beside her, celebrate her little victories, give her time to adjust, and show her again and again that she is finally safe. And when she realizes that you are her person, Sinbi will give you something incredibly precious in return: her trust, her affection, and her whole heart. Good with other dogs: yes, Sinbi can live with other dogs if they have a gentle and easygoing personality. However, living with a very sensitive or rough dog may be difficult. Sinbi is not a dog who gets angry easily, but if another dog is overly reactive or intense, she may sometimes respond with a little "Hey, please stop!" attitude. Good with cats: unknown, she has not lived with cats before House trained: yes, she is comfortable with both indoor (peepad) and outdoor potty. When outside, she prefers quieter and less crowded areas. Crate trained: in progress, she does not love the crate, but she does not strongly resist it either. We are continuing to practice crate time so she can feel more comfortable before her journey to Canada. Energy level: medium - if she has a dog friend, Sinbi enjoys playing and her energy level increases. However, as an only dog, she is quite calm and relaxed at home. Can be handled/touched: yes Barker: no, Sinbi may bark a little when a stranger enters the home. But don't worry - it is simply her way of saying, "Who are you?" Flight risk: possibly in the beginning Food Aggressive: no, Sinbi has no food guarding behavior. She does not protect her food or growl around meals. Current Food: She currently eats various types of Natural Balance food. Walks on leash: yes, she is a little shy outside, so she usually walks very calmly beside her person. In crowded or busy places, her tail may disappear because she feels nervous. But in quiet and peaceful areas, her tail comes up happily and she feels much more comfortable. She currently enjoys walks 1-2 times a day. Leash reactive to people or dogs: no Rides well in cars: yes, she does not get carsick and can handle long-distance travel Destructive: no Needs a home with a yard: she loves running and playing at dog parks, so a yard would be wonderful. However, a yard is not required for her happiness.
