QUICK FACTS Name: Superman Age: 2 years old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Jindo Mix Color: Brown Weight:  18 kg / 40lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from a truly heartbreaking situation and was barely clinging to life when help finally reached me. Several concerned people had reported my condition after seeing how severely injured I was. I had been badly beaten across my body and face, leaving me with devastating injuries, including a broken jaw. People tried desperately to find the person responsible, but unfortunately, they were never identified. My road to recovery wasn’t easy. I underwent multiple major reconstructive surgeries and had to fight incredibly hard to heal. But I did fight, and I made it. That’s how I earned the name Superman. What amazes everyone most isn’t only that I survived, but that after everything humans put me through, I still choose to trust them. I remain loving, gentle, and openhearted with the people I meet. My past is heartbreaking, but it doesn’t define who I am. I’m Superman, a survivor with an incredible heart, and now I’m ready for the chapter I’ve always deserved: a safe home, a loving family, and a lifetime of being cherished.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Healthy with no known health issues My mouth doesn’t fully close due to the reconstructive jaw surgeries I underwent after my rescue. My jaw is slightly crooked, and I may drool a little from time to time, but none of this stops me from enjoying life! I’m able to eat independently and go about my everyday activities without any issues. These little differences are simply part of my story and a reminder of just how far I’ve come.   MY PERSONALITY Volunteers and staff are always complimenting me on what a gentle and sweet boy I am. Despite everything I’ve been through, I’m still a bright, happy, and positive young boy who continues to see the best in the world. I’m friendly with both people and dogs and love being surrounded by kind company. Seeing how much love and trust I still have to give makes everyone even more determined to find me the wonderful family I deserve. After fighting so hard for my second chance, I’m ready for a forever home where I’ll be cherished, protected, and loved as a true member of the family.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m a friendly and gentle boy who enjoys meeting new people! I happily greet everyone I meet, especially when tasty treats are involved, and I’m comfortable being picked up and held. I also stay calm and composed in busier environments with lots of people and children around. Despite everything I’ve experienced, I continue to approach the world with trust, curiosity, and a wonderfully sweet nature. · With Dogs: I’m friendly and social with my dog friends too! I enjoy greeting new dogs and am always happy to make new friends. I generally feel most comfortable with dogs around my size or smaller and enjoy their company. With my gentle and easygoing personality, I’m a sweet canine companion who prefers keeping things friendly and peaceful. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring, and having fun, but once I’ve had my activity and excitement, I’m more than happy to come inside and relax comfortably indoors.   TRAINING & HABITS I can pull on leash at times, especially when something catches my interest, but overall I follow my handler’s lead nicely and am continuing to improve with practice. I have great manners around food and don’t guard my meals from either people or other dogs. I’m also a very quiet boy who rarely barks and already know how to settle and rest calmly in my kennel. I prefer doing my potty business outdoors and like to keep my living space clean. When I’m adjusting to a new environment, I may mark at first, but with a consistent routine and gentle guidance, I can learn the expectations of my new home.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever • Understanding of my past and willing to be patient with love and kindness while I come out of my shell   SPECIAL NOTES I know there are so many good people in this world, and I refuse to let my past define the life ahead of me. After everything I’ve endured, my ability to trust and love people remains incredibly strong. I still approach the world with an open heart and believe that my forever family is out there waiting for me. The volunteers and staff want nothing more than to show me just how loved I am and remind me that kindness will always outweigh the cruelty I once experienced. When I finally meet my family, I know I’ll form a deep and loving bond with them.
