Colby is the sweetest, most affectionate girl who has a wonderful ability to adapt to whatever life throws her way. She has settled beautifully into her foster home, where she lives with young children and another dog. She absolutely loves kids and is gentle and playful with them. She also adores her foster dog sibling and loves playing with him. Colby is curious and loves exploring with her nose, carrying her toys around, and being part of whatever her family is doing. At the end of the day, though, her favourite place is right beside her people getting cuddles. She is a true professional snuggler who loves being comfortable and cozy.Colby can be a little cautious when meeting someone new and may bark initially while she takes a moment to figure them out. Once she realizes everything is okay, she warms up quickly and becomes her sweet, affectionate self. She does wonderfully with guests when given the opportunity to approach them at her own pace. Colby is also doing well with her leash skills, although she can pull and has shown some reactivity toward certain larger dogs on walks, including barking and lunging. She is much more comfortable passing smaller dogs, and her success living with a larger dog at home shows just how much she can adjust with time, patience, and appropriate introductions. She also has prey drive and may pull or try to chase small animals.Colby is house training well, knows sit, and is comfortable in her crate. She may cry for a few minutes when first left, but settles quickly and has successfully been left for several hours. She is also a good passenger in the car and handles the everyday sights and sounds of a busy household beautifully. Given her young age, she could likely adapt to living with a cat with proper introductions, although she has not been tested with one yet. Colby is a gentle, loving, adaptable girl who bonds deeply with her people and loves with her whole heart.
