My story

Note: Currently, Shous is in Korea, but will be arriving in Toronto once adopted.For more info about the dog or adoption application, please click here.BackgroundShous was rescued in February 2024 from a dog meat farm in Anseong, Korea. At the time, he was just a puppy. Two of his brothers have already been adopted and are now living happily in Toronto.After his rescue, Shous spent some time at a training facility because our shelter did not have enough space for him. He has now returned to our partner boarding house, where he lives safely with other dogs while waiting for his own forever family. After waiting for so long, Shous is finally ready for his chance at a loving home of his own.Personality & SocializationShous is a friendly and affectionate dog who loves people. He has no hesitation around either men or women and is comfortable meeting new people.He also gets along well with other dogs. Shous especially enjoys playing with dogs who like to run, wrestle, and play with their whole bodies. He is happiest when he has a fun dog friend to share playtime with.Shous has a medium energy level. He enjoys walks and playtime but is not overly energetic. He is generally calm and easygoing in his kennel and does not show any signs of separation anxiety. He is usually quiet and settles well in his kennel.Shous does not bark much. He may let you know when he is hungry and ready for his meal, but otherwise, he is pretty chill and quiet.BehaviourShous is a well-mannered dog who handles everyday activities very well. He rides well in the car, behaves nicely at the vet, and does well during bath time. He also has experience with walks and loves going for walks and spending time outdoors. Shous enjoys being active but also knows how to settle down and relax.He enjoys playing with toys but does not show any destructive chewing habits. Shous currently prefers going potty outdoors and has developed a good routine.Health and DietShous has been neutered, dewormed, microchipped, and is up to date on his vaccinations. He takes monthly parasite prevention.He has no known allergies and eats dry food twice a day. He has completed a veterinary checkup including teeth scaling and is healthy and ready for her forever home.Ideal HomeShous would be a wonderful match for a family looking for a gentle, affectionate, and easygoing companion. A family with experience caring for a large dog would be ideal. He would also do best in a quiet residential environment where he can enjoy a peaceful lifestyle.A family who enjoys regular walks and outdoor activities with their dog would be a great match for Shous. He loves spending time outside and would be happy to have people who enjoy including him in their daily lives.Shous loves people, enjoys companionship, and has so much love to give. He has waited a long time for his chance at a real home, and now he is ready to leave his past behind and become someone’s beloved family member.
