DOB: March 6, 2024 - FIV/FeLV Negative Hammer is being fostered at one of Toronto Cat Rescue’s partner locations. Please note that if you’re approved to adopt, you’ll need to pick them up from the store within 24 hours of being approved. Hammer, a sweet young guy with a heart as big as his name! Hammer is a gentle, mellow boy who loves the simple joys of companionship. His friendly nature and calm personality make him a wonderful little friend who is happy to spend time by your side, enjoying quiet moments and plenty of affection. Hammer would do well in a home with another cat and could make a wonderful feline companion. If you’re looking for a sweet, easygoing cat to welcome into your family, Hammer could be the perfect match. Come meet this lovely boy and let him hammer his way into your heart! Hammer has been diagnosed with a chronic upper respiratory infection, likely caused by feline herpesvirus. While the condition is no longer infectious, this condition can flare up with changes or stress. Symptoms will vary, but with supportive care and reduction of environmental stress, it can be effectively managed. Hammer previously tested positive for feline calicivirus (FCV), a common respiratory virus in cats. Symptoms have resolved. Resident cats should be kept current on their FVRCP vaccination. It has now been several months since the initial illness, and Hammer is currently doing well.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Hammer, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
