My story

Sandy Lee is a lab mix with a whole lot of personality packed into one little body. Sandy Lee and her brother, Sully, were abandoned in a parking lot and thankfully picked up by a kind citizen who was worried they would be hit or otherwise injured. Both puppies came to us needing some extra care, and Sandy Lee was significantly underweight. Despite everything she has been through, this girl is an absolute sweetheart. Sandy Lee is very affectionate, silly, playful, and FULL of that puppy energy that can keep you laughing all day long. She loves attention, loves being involved in whatever you're doing, and-unsurprisingly-really loves food. Because Sandy Lee went without enough food before coming to us, she still eats with the mindset of, "I better finish this quickly because I don't know when I'll get another meal." She is still gaining weight and learning that she is safe and that food will be there for her every single day. We feel she would benefit from a slow feeder and being fed separately from other dogs while she continues building that security around mealtime. Sandy Lee is still just a baby with so much left to learn, and she deserves a family who will show her that the scary, uncertain part of her life is over.
